To login to your website dashboard please visit

From here you enter your username and password and you will be taken to your website dashboard.


On this page you have many options on your sidebar.

Updates will notify you if there are pending updates to the plugin, theme or wordpress. It is generally advised to wait a week or 2 to update after they are released to decrease chances of bugs.

Posts is where you create news posts.

Portfolio is being used as the pages used to link to the slider on the front page.

Media is where you can add, delete or browse your uploaded media (images, videos, documents).

Galleries is a plugin and it were your gallery pics are stored. You can add or delete them in this section.

Contact is where you change the contact us form or the email it sends to. This contact form is the one found on the footer of each page.

Appearance allows you to change themes, customise various options for this theme, add/remove or move widgets in your sidebars and manipulate your website menus.

Plugins is where you can add/remove, update, activate/deactivate the plugins for the site.

Users in an area that allows you to add/remove user admins for the site.

Tools and Settings are standard settings for wordpress as a whole.

Below are the plugins that are installed. 

All Around Slider is the services widget in the blue area on the front page. There is a pre programmed Team version (not currently used) and the Services one which is on the front page.

Page Slider is the front page tile slider. The one used is News Slider.

Options are the main options for the theme. These include Main, Social, Posts, Portfolio, Styling, Typography, Contact (contact form / page), Layouts and Advanced options.

General Page Creation

When creating a page you are faced with options before you enter the content. Seen below in red, you can choose the page template. Default allows you to create content in the top window, page builder uses the themes inbuilt page builder which is the most versatile option in this theme. There are other options for Contact etc which is used for your contact page.

You also have the option to choose your side bar layout. By default you should have a right hand side bar but you can choose no sidebars to remove them.

How does Metro Visual Builder work?

You create a page in section Pages>Add new

To create a section on the site you must first click ‘Add section’. From here you can select how you would like the section to be made i.e. full width, halves, thirds or other combinations.

After you have selected the format of your section you can then create the content for each area. To do this click ‘ Add Module’.

When you select your content module the widow for that module opens with options below as an example. This is a text module. You can include a title (or insert that into the text itself) and an icon.

Under these options you get the normal text editing fields. Format allows you to choose the type of text, e.g. heading 1,2,3 (1 being the largest title).

Once done, you can click ‘Save Changes’ below.

Each module allows you to add different content. Image allows images to be added and the corresponding options and short code allows you to add various plugin short codes or embedded videos.

You can re-position modules wherever you like by simply clicking, holding and dragging the desired content module

To use your gallery please click on the Global Gallery section on the left menu found in your site dashboard.

Adding a new image

To add a new picture to your gallery please click on the ‘Manage Images’ button.

From here you can upload a new image. Once you have uploaded the desired image it will be found in this string of images found above. Simply find your newly uploaded image, click on it and click the ‘Add to Gallery’ button.

Changing image titles and descriptions

To change an image title please visit your gallery. You will have each image laid out as the screenshot below shows.

Here you can edit the title of the image (see below).

Deleting an image

To delete an image please click the cross found in the top left of the image.

Case Histories

Case histories are made in pages. To create a new one first go Pages -> Add New

Create your page using the page builder. When you are ready to add it to the other case histories update the page (found at the top right of the page).

Once you have published and updated the page you need to add it to the Case Histories page. Go to Pages and search for the case histories page.

Once here you need to add a new section below the others in the page builder like the ones already present.

Insert a text module in the left section and an image section in the right.

The text in the left should be laid out like below. The title is an h3 title. You can highlight the title and click the add link button.


Find the page you would like to link to, click on it and click update. Save the changes.

The image thumbnail needs to be 164 x 131. Save changes to the page builder and page.

Adding Seasonal Advice

Create a new page with your desired information in for the seasonal advice. Save the page.

Go to ‘Posts’ on the left menu in the dashboard. Find the Seasonal Advice page and click to edit it. Click to add a new page builder section like the one already there.

As with the previous section we need to link the title (h2 title) to the newly created page. With the title selected, click on the chain button ‘insert/edit link’. Here select the page you would like the title to link to and click ‘update’.

Changing the opening times

To change the opening times please go to ‘Appearances’ in the left menu of the dashboard and click on ‘Widgets’.

In the top right of this page is a box marked ‘Footer Row’. Click on this box, click on ‘Opening times’. Here you can edit the times for each day. Once completed click on ‘Save’

Adding a staff member

To add a staff member you must do two things. First we need to add the person to the carousel at the top of the page. Click on ‘FWD Ultimate 3D Carousel’ on the left menu on the dashboard. On the drop down menu click on ‘Playlist Manager’.

Click on ‘team’, ‘team again and then ‘Add new thumbnail’. Enter the information needed. Highlight the text and change the colour to white.

The second part of adding a team member is on the Team & jobs page. Once inside this page you need to add the sections like the previously made team members.

Editing team member details

To edit the details of team members visit the Team & jobs page. Click on the pencil edit button in the text module for the desired team member. Once here you can edit the details of the team member selected.

 Creating password accessed pages

To create a page that is password accessed go to Pages –> Add New on the dashboard. Create your as you would any other page but when you are ready to publish click ‘Visibility’ –> Password protected, add the desired password and click publish / update.

 Adding Meta tags to pages

To add meta tags to a desired page (or other SEO keywords etc) visit the desired page from your dashboard. Scroll down until you arrive at the wordpress SEO section. Here you can add Keywords, Meta Tags and change the SEO title. Each section has a tooltip that you can access by clicking the question mark next to each section.
